We are permanently recruiting young talents to join us as trainee lawyers

 

At Schellenberg Wittmer, we employ a total of 10 to 15 dedicated young trainee lawyers (“avocat stagiaires” or “Substitutinnen und Substituten”) for the duration of their traineeship in preparation of the bar exam. We offer the option to extend the mandatory term of 12 or 18 months, respectively, to also work at the respective other site of our firm in Zurich/Geneva.

Traineeship in Zurich (12 months)
Throughout your one year term as a trainee lawyer with Schellenberg Wittmer in Zurich, you will work in various practice groups and with different teams of lawyers. Accordingly, you can expect to be involved in a broad range of the legal issues arising in an international business law firm. Apart from the training on the job, we offer numerous education opportunities, such as participation in the manifold, continuous internal education programs organized by the various practice groups for all lawyers. We also hold monthly sessions specifically aimed at preparing trainee lawyers for the bar exam.

Traineeship in Geneva (18 months)
Throughout your one and a half term as a trainee lawyer with Schellenberg Wittmer in Geneva, you will work in various practice groups and with different teams of lawyers. Accordingly, you can expect to be involved in a broad range of the legal issues arising in an international business law firm. Apart from the training on the job, we offer numerous education opportunities, such as participation in the manifold, continuous internal education programs organized by the various practice groups for all lawyers. We also hold monthly sessions specifically aimed at preparing trainee lawyers for the bar exam.

Application for Traineeship
We are constantly looking for young university graduates with excellent grades who are motivated to work in a challenging environment. An impeccable mastery of the respective Swiss national language is indispensable, as well as very good knowledge of English.
