Get to know Jean-Yves De Both
Jean-Yves De Both is a partner in our Geneva office, where he heads our Banking and Finance Group. His main areas of practice are banking and finance, regulatory matters (banks, securities dealers and investment funds), trade finance and mergers & acquisitions. His practice also includes aviation law, in particular aircraft transactions.
Jean-Yves De Both studied at the universities of Geneva and Regensburg (Germany) and graduated from the former with a law degree in 2000. The following year he worked as a legal intern with the tax department of a major auditing firm in Zurich and then obtained a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2002. After his traineeship with our firm, he was subsequently admitted to the Swiss bar and joined us as an associate. In 2006 he was on secondment to the legal department of the European headquarters of an international US group. He is a member of the Association Genevoise du Droit des Affaires.
