Get to know Philippe Ducor
Philippe Ducor is Of Counsel in our Intellectual Property and Information Technology Group in Geneva.
His areas of expertise include intellectual property, especially in the field of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, technology transfer and unfair competition. In addition, he has extensive experience in regulatory matters, health law and medical malpractice, where his background as a fully-trained physician is particularly valuable.
Upon graduating from the University of Geneva with a federal diploma in medicine in 1985 and a law degree in 1991, he completed his medical doctorate and was certified as a specialist FMH in internal medicine in 1992. Philippe then went to Stanford University where he obtained a Master in Laws (J.S.M.) in 1994 as well as a doctorate in Law (J.S.D.) in 1996. Philippe Ducor was admitted to the Geneva bar in 1999 and has practiced law as a partner at another business law firm in Geneva until joining us in 2010.
Philippe has been teaching technology transfer and life sciences law at the University of Geneva since 2000. He is the Director of the Interdisciplinary Master Program in Life Sciences Law at the University of Geneva, a program he founded in 2006. Philippe Ducor has published in leading scientific and legal reviews.
