Get to know Olivier Favre
Olivier Favre is an associate in our Banking and Finance Group in Zurich. His main areas of practice are banking and finance law, debt and equity capital markets transactions, derivatives and structured finance transactions, collective investment schemes and financial regulation.
Prior to joining our firm as an associate in 2009, Olivier practiced as an attorney in London, specializing in derivatives and structured finance transactions, fund products and capital markets transactions. From October 2004 to April 2007, he worked as an associate at Allen & Overy LLP in London, where he advised clients on derivatives and structured finance transactions relating to a broad range of asset classes (both in the form of OTC transactions and securitized products) and on equity capital markets transactions. From May 2007 to May 2009, Olivier worked as legal counsel at Goldman Sachs International in London in the Derivatives and Structured Finance Group, where he focused on fund products and equity derivatives transactions.
Olivier studied law at the University of Zurich (lic. iur. 1998, Dr. iur. 2003) and at Harvard Law School (LL.M. 2004). For his doctoral thesis, Olivier received the Issekutz Award for outstanding achievements in Business Law from the University of Zurich. Olivier trained with, and worked as an associate for one year at, another leading Swiss law firm prior to attending Harvard Law School.
