Get to know Philipp Groz
Philipp Groz is an associate in our Intellectual Property / Information Technology Group and our Dispute Resolution Group in Zurich. His main areas of practice include domestic and international commercial litigation and arbitration, in particular in the fields of intellectual property, licensing and distribution. He also regularly advises clients on matters of intellectual property, contract and liability law.
Philipp Groz studied at the law schools of the universities of Fribourg and Zurich, where he graduated in 2001 before gaining admission to the bar in Switzerland in 2004. He worked as a secretary and later as an associate judge at the District Court of Zurich between 2001 and 2005, the year he joined our firm as an associate. He went on to obtain a Master of Law degree in trade regulation (with a concentration in intellectual property) from New York University School of Law in 2007. He is a member of several professional associations, including the Swiss and the Zurich Bar Associations, the International Trademark Association, the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle and the Licensing Executives Society.
