Get to know Olivier Hari
Olivier Hari is an associate in our Dispute Resolution Group and our Restructuring and Insolvency Group in Geneva. He specializes in insolvency and reorganization proceedings, corporate restructuring, law of obligations (Contract Law, Torts Law) and property law.
From 1999 to 2000 he received a banking education focused on asset management and financial research. Olivier Hari then graduated from the University of Neuchâtel Law School (J.D. magna cum laude) in 2003 and worked there until 2005 as teaching and research associate with Profs. Roland Ruedin and Sylvain Marchand in the fields of law of obligations, corporate law and insolvency law. He holds a PhD in Law (dr. jur. magna cum laude) from the University of Neuchâtel Law School and wrote his doctoral thesis on the status, tasks and liabilities of the trustee appointed by a court or a supervising authority to monitor and reorganize distressed businesses, including banks and securities dealers.
In 2005 he joined our firm as a trainee attorney and then as an associate after his admission to the Swiss bar in 2007.
Olivier Hari regularly publishes in the field of insolvency and commercial law and frequently comments federal court decisions dealing with insolvency and contractual matters. He his member of AIJA and of the AIJA Insolvency Commission, INSOL Europe, the Commission for Continuing Education of the Geneva Bar Association, and of the Air and Space Law Association.
