Danielle Hostettler is a Counsel in our Taxation Group in Geneva. Danielle's practice involves all aspects of Swiss and international tax law for both private and institutional clients. Her area of expertise focuses on private client taxation, including family owned business, trusts and inheritance tax issues, and tax litigation (e.g., investigations and enforcement procedures). Danielle advises clients on executive compensation, national and international tax planning, stock options plans taxation and valuation of company's shares, as well as lump sum taxation. She provides tax advice to private clients becoming Swiss residents. Danielle also works with non-profit entities, including non-governmental and other organizations. She has contributed to several publications, writing on the Swiss aspects of international tax issues.
She studied at the University of Geneva School of Law and graduated with a law degree in 1987. She was admitted to the bar in Switzerland in 1990. In 2004, she obtained credits while studying for a Postgrade degree in Management, Organization and Communication at the Neuchâtel Management School (HEG). Danielle also worked for many years with Andersen, tax department, in Geneva before joining our firm in 2005.
