Get to know Stefan Leimgruber
Stefan Leimgruber is an associate in our Dispute Resolution Group in Zurich. His main areas of practice are domestic and international commercial litigation and arbitration. He has acted as counsel before arbitral tribunals and in mediation proceedings in various commercial disputes, including disputes arising from international joint venture agreements, share purchase agreements, distribution agreements and construction contracts. He has acted as secretary to arbitral tribunals in ad hoc arbitrations (including UNCITRAL) and institutional arbitrations (ICC, Swiss Rules, Vienna Rules, LCIA). He also represents parties before Swiss courts where his main focus is on banking litigation, contract law disputes, civil attachments, interim measures and debt enforcement.
Stefan Leimgruber graduated from the University of Zurich School of Law in 2002. He worked between 2003 and 2007 as a legal secretary and later as an associate judge at the District Court of Zurich where he mainly dealt with debt enforcement, civil attachments, injunctions, and recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments. In 2006 he was admitted to the bar in Switzerland and joined us as an associate in 2007. He is a member of several professional associations, including the Swiss and the Zurich Bar Associations.
