Get to know David Mamane
David Mamane is an associate in our Competition Group in Zurich. His main areas of practice are European and Swiss competition and antitrust law; telecommunications, energy, license, and distributorship agreements; and IT law. He has regularly advised clients in proceedings before the EC Commission and the Swiss Competition Commission, and is experienced in all aspects of EC and Swiss competition law, including national and multi-jurisdictional merger control procedures, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, dawn raids, compliance, and leniency procedures. He has experience in the IT business and was the co-founder of a legal consulting firm in the IT sector.
David Mamane studied law at the University of Basel (lic. iur. 1997) and the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium (LL.M. 2003). Between 2000 and 2008 he was an associate in another leading Swiss law firm and in the Brussels office of a leading international law firm, as well as a teaching assistant at the College of Europe.
David Mamane is a lecturer for competition law at the University of Lucerne and the author of several publications in the field of Swiss and European competition law. He teached at the College of Europe and is a member of the Zurich and Swiss Bar Associations, as well as other professional associations, including the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht eV. and the ABA’s International Antitrust Committee Steering Group.
