Julie Raneda is counsel in our International Arbitration Group in Singapore. She is specialized in international commercial arbitration and has acted as counsel before international arbitral tribunals in a broad range of disputes involving sales, licence and distribution agreements, international construction contracts and consultancy contracts. In addition, she has served as arbitrator and secretary to arbitral tribunals in several ICC, Swiss Rules and SIAC arbitrations. She has also represented parties before the Swiss Supreme Court in proceedings related to challenges of arbitral awards and advised parties in matters relating to international trade sanctions and regulations.

After completing a degree in International Relations at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Julie graduated with a master in Business law from the Law School of the University of Geneva. Julie Raneda joined our Geneva office as a trainee in 2008 and again as an associate after her admission to the Swiss bar in 2011. She also worked as a senior associate at the London office of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP in 2014-2015.

Julie regularly publishes and speaks on topics related to arbitration. She is the Chair of ASA South-East Asia Chapter and is a member of the SIAC Reserve Panel of Arbitrators. Julie is a member of several professional associations, including the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), ASA below 40, YSIAC, IPBA, the Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG), the International Bar Association (IBA), and ArbitralWomen. Julie is also a co-founder of the Women's Business Society established in Geneva in 2012.
