Get to know Benno Strub
Benno Strub is a counsel in our Restructuring and Insolvency Group and our Dispute Resolution Group in Zurich. His main areas of practice are bankruptcy law and insolvency proceedings, contract and tort law, and domestic and international civil litigation. He regularly advises clients in Swiss and cross-border reorganization and insolvency proceedings as well as in all aspects of debt enforcement and bankruptcy law. Benno Strub conducts litigation in connection with insolvency proceedings, the enforcement and recognition of foreign bankruptcy proceedings and civil judgments, and in various matters of contract and tort law. He also advises clients on aspects of insolvency law in domestic and cross-border financing transactions.
A graduate of the University of Lausanne in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, where he received his law degree in 1993, Benno Strub pursued graduate studies four years later in the U.S. at the University of Chicago Law School, receiving a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.). He was admitted to the Swiss bar in 2001 and, before joining us in 2002 as an associate, worked as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Lausanne and as a law clerk at the District Court of Horgen and as a trainee in our firm.
Benno Strub is a member of several professional organizations, among them the Zurich and Swiss Bar Associations, the International Bar Association (IBA), and the International Association for Young Lawyers (AIJA). He has published in the fields of litigation and insolvency law.
