Benno Strub is a Counsel in Schellenberg Wittmer's Restructuring and Insolvency Group and the Dispute Resolution Group in Zurich. His main areas of practice are bankruptcy law and insolvency proceedings, contract and tort law, and domestic and international civil litigation. He regularly advises clients in Swiss and cross-border reorganization and insolvency proceedings as well as in all aspects of debt enforcement and bankruptcy law. Benno Strub conducts litigation in connection with insolvency proceedings, the enforcement and recognition of foreign bankruptcy proceedings and civil judgments, and in various matters of contract and tort law. He also advises clients on aspects of insolvency law in domestic and cross-border M&A and financing transactions.

Benno Strub has published in the fields of litigation and insolvency law. He is a member of several professional organizations, among them the Zurich and Swiss Bar Associations, the International Bar Association (IBA), and the International Association for Young Lawyers (AIJA).

A graduate of the University of Lausanne in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, where Benno Strub received his law degree in 1993, he pursued graduate studies four years later in the U.S. at the University of Chicago Law School, receiving a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in 1998. Benno Strub was admitted to the Swiss bar in 2001 and, before joining Schellenberg Wittmer in 2002 as an associate, worked as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Lausanne, and as a law clerk at the District Court of Horgen and as a trainee at Schellenberg Wittmer.
