David Wallace Wilson awarded the STEP Advanced Certificate in Mediation (Trusts and Estates)

Geneva Private Clients and Estates partner David Wallace Wilson, TEP, MCJ (NYU), successfully completed the Advanced Certificate in Mediation (Trusts and Estates), which is awarded by the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is part of the Trusted Advisor series.

This specialist qualification is designed to develop one's role in supporting a client within an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) context and in a mediation in particular, to enhance a client's outcome within this mediation scenario, and help a client manage the conflict more constructively, lessening the chance of damage to their wealth, health and relationships. The certificate is a 3 month course incorporating pre-course reading, a 3 day face-to-face workshop and a 3,500 word written assignment.

STEP is the worldwide professional association for practitioners dealing with family inheritance and succession planning. STEP has 18,500 members across 80 jurisdictions from a broad range of professional backgrounds, including lawyers, accountants, trust specialists and other practitioners in this area.
