, TEP, MCJ (NYU), successfully completed the Advanced Certificate in Mediation (Trusts and Estates), which is awarded by the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is part of the Trusted Advisor series.
This specialist qualification is designed to develop one's role in supporting a client within an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) context and in a mediation in particular, to enhance a client's outcome within this mediation scenario, and help a client manage the conflict more constructively, lessening the chance of damage to their wealth, health and relationships. The certificate is a 3 month course incorporating pre-course reading, a 3 day face-to-face workshop and a 3,500 word written assignment.
STEP is the worldwide professional association for practitioners dealing with family inheritance and succession planning. STEP has 18,500 members across 80 jurisdictions from a broad range of professional backgrounds, including lawyers, accountants, trust specialists and other practitioners in this area.
