Elliott Geisinger re-elected President of ASA, Nathalie Voser re-elected to the Board
22 September 2016
Schellenberg Wittmer's head of International Arbitration, Elliott Giesinger
was re-elected as President of the Swiss Arbitration Association ("ASA") for a second three-year term. International Arbitration partner, Nathalie Voser
, has also been re-elected for a three-year term to the Board. The vote took place at ASA's General Assembly of 16 September 2016. Both terms will begin on 1 January 2017.
ASA is internationally recognised as a leader among thought-centres for the understanding and promotion of arbitration worldwide. The current ASA Board has been particularly active, with many high-level projects, including the "ASA Toolbox" project that earned the support of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) in July 2016. UNCITRAL and ASA will liaise with a view to explore future collaboration on the development and use of the "ASA Toolbox". This is only the second time that UNCITRAL has expressly stated its support for and willingness to collaborate on an initiative launched by a private ONG. More information on ASA activities can be found at ASA's website: www.arbitration-ch.org
Schellenberg Wittmer is proud of Nathalie and Elliott for their very high-level peer recognition and achievement.
