was a speaker at the STEP Global Congress, that gathered more than 300 attendees from all over the globe in Amsterdam from June 30th to July 1st 2016.
The Global Congress is the most powerful, thought shaping and connected gathering of practitioners and STEP's flagship exchange of knowledge, learning and future direction. Attendees included members of STEP, as well as non-members, alongside thought-leaders and industry experts.
David spoke on the main stage session entitled "Is America the New Switzerland?" with Warren Whitaker of Day Pitney and Dyke Arboneaux of Bryan Cave LLP. He discussed the US position with respect to the OECD's CRS and trusts.
STEP is the worldwide professional association for those advising families across generations. STEP promotes best practice, professional integrity and education to its members. STEP members help families plan for their futures: from drafting a will or advising family businesses, to helping international families and protecting vulnerable family members. STEP has over 20,000 members across 95 countries. They include lawyers, accountants and other trust and estate specialists.
