Get to know Olivier Hari
Olivier Hari is an associate in our Corporate and Commercial, Banking and Finance and Restructuring and Insolvency groups in Geneva. His main areas of practice include corporate insolvency and restructuring law, general corporate and contract law and M&A. His practice also includes banking and financial markets law (regulatory matters). Olivier is also a lecturer in company law in the Faculty of Law of the University of Neuchâtel and in criminal business law in the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva.
Before joining our firm as a junior lawyer in 2005, and then as an associate after his admission to the Swiss bar in 2007, Olivier worked for a bank. In 2010, Olivier temporary worked at the FINMA (Swiss Federal Market Supervisory Authority) where his activities focused on enforcement proceedings and various regulatory issues. Olivier first received a banking education focused on asset management and financial research. Olivier Hari then graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Neuchâtel (J.D. magna cum laude) in 2003 and worked there until 2005 as teaching and research associate in the fields of corporate law and insolvency law, and later earned a Ph.D. in Law (Dr. iur. magna cum laude) from the Faculty of Law of the University of Neuchâtel.
Olivier Hari extensively publishes in the field of insolvency, commercial and banking law. He his member of several practitioners' association (INSOL Europe, AIJA) and serves as Vice-President of the AIJA Insolvency Commission and as President of the Commission for Continuing Education of the Geneva Bar Association.
