Get to know Isabelle Berger-Steiner
Isabelle Berger-Steiner is an associate in our Dispute Resolution Group in Zurich. Her practice focuses on domestic and international litigation and arbitration. She has acted as counsel in various commercial proceedings, including complex attachment proceedings.
Isabelle Berger-Steiner graduated from the University of Berne School of Law in 2001 (lic. iur.). She was admitted to the Swiss bar in 2004 after gaining practical experience as a clerk at the District Court of Aarberg and as a legal intern with a law firm in Berne. She then worked as a research and teaching assistant in civil law at the University of Berne. In 2007, she received a doctorate degree (summa cum laude) for her thesis on the degree of proof in civil law. From 2008 until 2010, Isabelle Berger-Steiner was an associate in the litigation department of another leading business law firm in Zurich. Before joining us in 2011, she worked at the Federal Office of Justice where she was a member of the legal team that represented Switzerland in a dispute before the International Court of Justice.
Isabelle Berger-Steiner regularly publishes in the field of civil procedure and civil law. She is a member of several professional associations, including the Zurich and Swiss Bar Associations, and the Swiss Arbitration Association.
