Get to know Louis Burrus
Louis Burrus is an associate in our Dispute Resolution Group in Geneva. His main areas of practice include domestic and international commercial litigation, banking litigation, as well as corporate and contract law.
Louis Burrus graduated in 2007 from the University of Fribourg School of Law, after having namely spent a year at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He also earned the same year a Certificate in "International Business Transactions with Chinese Characteristics" from the Cornell-Bucerius Summer Law Institute in Suzhou, China.
During his studies, Louis Burrus was an intern in corporate finance at Lombard Odier in Zurich and worked for Deutsche Bank in Berlin. He also served as a research assistant on an e-learning project (Prof. Samantha Besson). After his graduation, Louis Burrus worked for two years with the Geneva office of Baker & McKenzie and was admitted to the Bar in 2009. He joined our firm in 2010.
In 2008-2009, Louis Burrus served as a board member of the Jeune Barreau (Geneva Young Bar Association). He is a member of the Ordre des Avocats de Genève (Geneva Bar Association) as well as of the Fédération suisse des avocats (Swiss Bar Association).
