Get to know Christian Girod
Christian Girod is a partner in our Geneva office, where he heads our Dispute Resolution Group. His main areas of practice are domestic and international commercial litigation and arbitration (both as counsel and arbitrator), estate and trust disputes and employment law.
His practice is almost exclusively devoted to international matters and covers a broad range of issues. They include: pre-litigation strategic advice, representation of parties in cases related, inter alia, to estate and trusts, private banking disputes, international commodity sales, manufacturing contracts, partnerships, charter parties, corporate liability, insurance, enforcement of foreign judgments, and the securing and freezing of assets in aid of domestic and international proceedings.
Christian Girod graduated from the School of Law of the University of Geneva in 1982 and, after being admitted to the bar in Switzerland in 1985, earned a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School the following year. He joined our firm in 1986 and became a partner in 1994.
He is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP) and a member of several professional associations, such as the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA) and the Swiss Arbitration Association. He regularly publishes within his field of expertise.
