Get to know Martin Weber
Martin Weber is a partner in our Zurich office, where he heads our Mergers & Acquisitions Group. His main areas of practice are mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets and stock exchange law, corporate and commercial law, real estate law, corporate restructurings, and international business transactions. An authorized representative at the SIX Swiss Exchange, he has extensive experience in advising publicly listed and closely held companies, including multinational groups of companies, in all types of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers and going privates, initial public offerings, rights offerings, and private equity transactions.
He also regularly assists clients in the structuring, implementation and financing of transactions related to real estate companies and real estate portfolios, as well as in a variety of other international business transactions, such as corporate restructurings, joint ventures, business outsourcings, facility management agreements, and commissionaire structures. In addition, he serves as a board member on several Swiss companies of various size.
Following his legal studies at the University of Zurich, Martin Weber was admitted to the bar in Switzerland in 1986. He earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Chicago Law School in 1988, the same year he joined our firm. In 1993 he graduated as a Doctor of Law from the University of Zurich and became a partner here.
He has authored publications on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and other aspects of corporate law.
