02.05.2019

The 12th Chapter of the Swiss Private International Law Act (SPILA) is currently undergoing a revision. This process has been closely followed by the arbitration community in Switzerland.

Schellenberg Wittmer was already prominently represented in the revision work with Elliott Geisinger being one of four experts who advised the justice department when drafting the revisions.

Arbitration Partner Nathalie Voser was invited to appear as an expert before the National Council's Legal Commission for a hearing on this amendment on 2 May 2019. During this hearing she had the opportunity to present her view on the bill and answered questions of the member of the Legal Commission.
