Vincent Jeanneret & Olivier Hari: Opinion on Measures to Avoid Bankruptcies amidst COVID-19

Leading experts in the field of bankruptcy Vincent Jeanneret and Professor Olivier Hari have co-authored an opinion article in the major Swiss newspaper Le Temps on the measures available to the Swiss authorities to prevent the opening of bankruptcy proceedings amidst the COVID-19 epidemic (Coronavirus).

In their article, Vincent Jeanneret and Olivier Hari discuss the effects of the slowdown particularly in the hotel and event sectors and the potential impact. In addition to the already implemented measures other sectors of the economy, they present existing ordinary and extraordinary mechanisms to prevent the initiation of bankruptcy proceedings.

Vincent Jeanneret and Olivier Hari's article also covers the Federal Council's pledge to the economy (March 13, 2020) and the need for those economic measures to be supplemented by legal measures effectively protecting weakened businesses
