Elena Trabaldo-de Mestral is a Senior Associate in our International Arbitration Group in Geneva. Trained in both civil and common law, Elena is specialized in international commercial and investment arbitration. She has advised and represented clients before international arbitral tribunals in a broad range of disputes, as well as in enforcement and commercial litigation proceedings before the Swiss courts.

Experience

  • Has acted as counsel for Swiss and international clients before international arbitral tribunals in a broad range of complex commercial disputes and under many different laws notably in the fields of international sales, commodities trading, construction and engineering, distribution and consultancy agreements
  • Has represented clients on a range of court applications before Swiss courts, including before the Swiss Supreme Court in relation to challenges of arbitral awards
  • Has served as secretary to arbitral tribunals in several ICC, Swiss Rules and ad hoc arbitrations
