Schellenberg Wittmer Advises KPS Capital Partners on Acquisition of EMEA Tinplate Business from Crown Holdings


Schellenberg Wittmer advised KPS Capital Partners, a US private equity investor, with respect to all Swiss law aspects of its acquisition from Crown Holding Inc. of the food, aerosol and promotional packaging business in EMEA, an enterprise valued at approx $2.7 billion, whereby Crown will be retaining a 20% ownership stake in the business. Crown is the largest manufacturer of steel and aluminum food packaging in Europe and a leading manufacturer of aerosol and promotional packaging. Completion is expected in the third quarter of 2021, subject to customary closing conditions and approvals.
